Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic

The Conrad Pearson Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic (APCC) is a specialized clinic that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of recurrent or metastatic prostate cancer. We concentrate specifically on cases where cancer has spread beyond the prostate gland, necessitating more specialized treatment options and comprehensive care. The advanced prostate cancer clinic aims to provide targeted, state-of-the-art care to individuals facing complex, aggressive prostate cancer. At the same time, we are focused on enhancing and maintaining quality of life for each patient. 

Our Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic is a prostate cancer Center of Excellence, ranked #2 in the nation among our peer group. We’ve been providing advanced therapies since 2010, and currently manage several hundred patients from Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas who have varying degrees of advanced prostate cancer. Our entire team is focused on education, mutual respect, and keeping patient care as the central focus, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment that incorporates the latest advances and clinical trials.

Our Team

Dr. Paul Eber is the Director of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic at Conrad Pearson. At any one time the team of two nurses, a Physician Assistant, a medical assistant and Dr. Eber are managing the care of roughly 400 patients with advanced metastatic cancer. The therapies available have made extending our patient’s lives while maintaining good quality of life a reality. Dr. Eber is known nationally for his work with advanced prostate cancer patients and is now on the speakers’ bureaus and advisory boards for many advanced prostate cancer drug companies. He is also the co-director of the Clinical Research program at Conrad Pearson which at any one time may have between 8 – 13 clinical trials taking place to investigate the use of new medications.

Working side-by-side with Dr. Eber our entire team works to ensure great care for our patients. Our team is comprised of:

Through the Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic at Conrad Pearson, patients have access to: 

• Specialized treatments such as hormone therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and the latest in radiation therapy designed for advanced stages of prostate cancer. Therapies we utilize include Erleada, Nubeqa, Xtandi, abiraterone, Provenge, and Xofigo.  We also manage bone health for our patients, utilizing Prolia and XGeva.
• Personalized and multidisciplinary care: Our entire team of urologists and other specialists collaborate to create personalized treatment plans tailored to the patient’s specific case.
• Clinical trial access: Patients of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic have access to participate in clinical research, giving them access to new therapies and investigational treatments that may not yet be widely available.
• Comprehensive support services: Our care navigators offer support services to help patients manage the physical and emotional aspects of advanced cancer. We also focus on monitoring the progression of the disease and managing symptoms to improve patients’ quality of life.

Pharmacy /Dispensary

Conrad Pearson Clinic has had an in-office dispensary/pharmacy for our patients since May of 2015. There, we can dispense all the oral oncolytics as well as Orgovyx.  Our current dispense rate is sitting at 50%, well above the national average for in-office dispensing and this offers an added convenience for our patients.
